WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades will give you a an increase in specific stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item by 3. Each upgrade also boosts a random substat.

The upgraded gear typically has a higher trade value as long as it meets low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or very high stat variation (like the eth titan weapons). These types of gear get less value from upgrading due to the necessity to roll for a perfect model.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by giving the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied on any type of weapon or armor. However, the item upgrader kit that is used for the upgrade will be consumed forever and will not be able to be used again. Upgrades can be used to create enchantments.

The upgrader is located in all major cities, and can be visited anytime to upgrade your gear. To ensure that your equipment is up-to-date it is recommended that you visit the upgrader every couple of weeks.

The cost of upgrading will be based on the current level of the item upgrades being upgraded but they will always be cheaper than buying new equipment from other sources. For example upgrading a chest piece from Benthic to 385 ilvl will cost 20 recycle points, while purchasing the same item from another player will costs 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are useful items which can be used to improve the quality of weapons and tools, armor and other items. They can be purchased by players from item upgraders NPCs for a variety of currencies. They can also find them on random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade items can be applied to any weapon, tool or armor. The button will show the item upgrade's next upgrade level, in the event that there are enough materials.

The cost of upgrading is based on the item slot and current item level upgrade level as well as the level of the weapon, which is more than bracers or gloves, for example.
